A Look at SmileBooksSmileBooks also provides a good selection of standard page layouts. I found I could choose a page layout and still have complete flexibility to modify that layout to position the photo(s) exactly as I wanted. Two page spreads were easy to do and the available backgrounds were fine for my requirements. It took awhile to figure out how to add frames but once discovered I was able to create the exact picture frame that I wanted. There is a drop shadow feature but I did use it.
What's not to like? As above the software was sluggish but I suspect that most if not all packages will behave
the same way when faced with trying to manage a number of 3000x3000 photos. Sluggish but usable is OK with me as
long as the software lets me do what I want. So
SmileBooks was selected to create a test book for me. I uploaded the SmileBooks file and waited. And
now the results.
